L'Etoile French Immersion School

Cody is a K12 music educator and multi-instrumentalist with a master’s in Music Education from Boston Conservatory at Berklee ’22. In nurturing students’ creative self-expression through music and movement, he likes to believe that students feel alive, engaged, and seen in his classroom. We move, listen, sing, play instruments, compose original songs, and explore complex musical concepts on a regular basis. He’s passionate about digital music and audio production as teaching tools for students to unlock their inner artist. He lives in SE PDX with his partner Lydia and their many percussion instruments.

A native of Sochaux, a small community in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region in eastern France, Jerome has been working in French preschools in the Pacific Northwest since 2015. He joined the L’Etoile team in 2017, working both as an assistant and a classroom teacher during the summer and after-school programs. As a trained musician, Jerome loves to incorporate music into each school day through group songs, use of instruments, and individual expression.
